Research Interests:

Normally-behaving neural networks have an amazing capacity to maintain themselves within working activity ranges through homeostatic adjustments to cellular excitability and/or glutamatergic and GABAergic synaptic strength. I study molecular mechanisms that underlie these forms of plasticity (known as homeostatic synaptic plasticity) in developing circuits, both at presynaptic and postsynaptic levels with special interest on changes of synaptic strenght known as synaptic scaling.
