JOB PLACEMENTS OF GRADUATES FROM FIRST

FIRST fellows are competitive for academic positions. Although FIRST is only in its fifth year, we have graduates who have joined the faculty of several colleges and universities (Morehouse College, Spelman College, Emory University, Kennesaw State University, Langston University, North Carolina Central University, High Point University, Haverford College, Georgia State University, Oxford College, University of Portland, James Madison University, Colgate University, University of Massachusetts, Mars Hill College and Macon State College). They have also been successful in careers in industry (a senior research scientist at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and a medical technician/molecular biologist with the Department of Defense). These fellows return to participate in FIRST and IRACDA sponsored events and continue to contribute greatly to the exposure and education of FIRST fellows about possible careers.
