Authorized under Title III of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), the National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition & Language Instruction Educational Programs (NCELA) supports the U.S. Department of Education's Office of English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement, and Academic Achievement for Limited English Proficient Students (OELA) in its mission to respond to Title III educational needs, and implement NCLB as it applies to English language learners (ELLs).

E-learning-reviews provides those interested in research on eLearning with concise and thoughtful reviews of relevant publications. The most important goal is a well-balanced selection of seminal publications as well as interesting up-to-date publications from the various disciplinary perspectives. For over 35 years Educational Research Service has been the nonprofit organization serving the research and information needs of the nation's K-12 education leaders and the public. ERS was established by national associations of school administrators to fill a pressing need in education for an independent organization to provide reliable, objective research and data to enable local school district administrators to make the most effective school decisions.

Survey Design and Analysis:
NCES collects and reports information on the academic performance of the nation's students as well as the literacy level of the adult population. The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is NCES' primary assessment of what American elementary/secondary students know and can do in academic subjects. This NCES program also assesses the proficiency of adults in performing basic literacy and mathematical tasks through the National Assessments of Adult Literacy (NAAL).

SALG is an instrument (survey) writing site which focuses exclusively on the degree to which a course has enabled student learning. In particular, the SALG asks students to assess and report on their own learning, and on the degree to which specific aspects of the course have contributed to that learning.

This site, hosted by Rutgers University, contains a vast supply of online and printed resources for the design of surveys in a wide variety of educational environments with specific focus on psychology.
The OERL, the Online Evaluation Resource Library, was developed for professionals seeking to design, conduct, document, or review project evaluations. The purpose of this system is to collect and make available evaluation plans, instruments, and reports for NSF projects that can be used as examples by Principal Investigators, project evaluators, and others outside the NSF community as they design proposals and projects. OERL also includes professional development modules that can be used to better understand and utilize the materials made available.
